‘Future Living Skills’ course - 22 and 29 September hosted by UHC Council

Future Living Skills is a practical two day course at HAPAI building, Upper Hutt. Facilitated by Natalie Hormann, a Sustainable Living Education Trust educator, it covers food, zero waste, water energy saving, sustainable transport, green shopping choices and community resilience.

$40 cost per participant includes printed support materials, course follow-up, morning tea and afternoon tea both days. Registration is required. The course fee is subsidised by the Council's sustainability action programme and comes highly recommended.

To more information and to register for this course, please email your contact details to askus@uhcc.govt.nz.

Natlaie says: "Future Living Skills is a comprehensive practical course to help you make your lifestyle greener, cheaper and healthier! Come along to our workshop sessions, including how to make healthier food choices, grow your own food, make your own cleaning and skin care products and reduce your power bills - all without spending extra time or money!  The course is held in two full day practical sessions, which are engaging, fun and suitable for anyone with a green heart".

About the facilitator:  Natalie has been delivering the Future Living Skills programme in the region for over 10 years - helping hundreds of course participants save time and money while improving their health and reducing their impact on the environment. She's an Upper Hutt local who runs "The Rabbithole", a two acre sustainability education centre. Her last course for Upper Hutt was in April at Hāpai Hall.
